The retreat
The longer story, told plainly.
The studio exists to fund a place: a piece of land in the Romanian mountains, a cabin built by hand, and in time a small working retreat where a few people and families live and work alongside us. Animals belong there too, chickens and dogs first, larger animals as the land allows.
This is not a side project and it is not in a hurry. We are planning in seasons, not sprints. Right now a 1995 Toyota 4Runner is being readied for the land search, and the journal will carry everything that happens next.
There is no way to buy into this place. No investors, no memberships, no plots for sale. The people who eventually live and work here will arrive through shared work and shared seasons.
